Flashback: When John Glenn dotted the ‘i’ in Script Ohio at Ohio State

John Glenn, who passed away Thursday at the age of 95, lived a long and amazing life.

Among his many claims to fame: He is among the few non-band members to dot the ‘i’ during a performance of “Script Ohio” by the Ohio State University Marching Band.

The former astronaut was bestowed that honor along with his wife, Annie, when the Buckeyes opened the season against Navy in 2009.

Other non-band members to dot the ‘i’ during the 80 years the band has performed “Script Ohio” include Woody Hayes, Bob Hope, Jack Nicklaus and Earle Bruce.
