Forbes: Mathile among Ohio’s three richest people

Local billionaire Clay Mathile is one of three Ohioans who rank among the 400 richest people in the U.S., according to Forbes magazine. The publication unveiled its annual Forbes 400 list on Wednesday.

Mathile, 71, of Brookville made his fortune with the Iams pet food company and ranks 250th with $1.9 billion, according to Forbes. Leslie Wexner of New Albany, the 75-year-old founder of The Limited store chain, ranks 83rd with $4.4 billion. San Francisco 49ers owner Denise DeBartolo York, 61, of Youngstown, ranks 392nd with $1.1 billion.
