Dennis Gruber, operations director for Subaru of Dayton, said his dealership still serves its Saturn customers and their vehicles.
“Yes, we are still servicing Saturns, eagerly, and are thrilled to be selling and servicing Subarus,” Gruber said.
The Subaru brand does well, he added.
“It’s one of the few brands in the country whose sales are up,” Gruber said.
The former Saturn of Dayton-North dealership is now Kia of Dayton, said Brian Briggs, general sales manager for the dealership. The change, effective Jan. 11, has 149 Kias on the lot, as of today, Jan. 21, he said.
“The product looks great, and there’s nothing but encouragement from every customer who comes through the door,” Briggs said.
Saturn was one of three brands General Motors ended last year — including Pontiac and Saab — in an effort to get stronger financially and emerge from bankruptcy. GM and Penske Automotive Group had explored having Penske acquire the Saturn dealership chain last fall, but Penske backed away.
