Store officials told this newspaper about 1,597 customers came out for the grand opening event. The store did a golden ticket giveaway, and the first 100 shoppers received a golden ticket with Aldi gifts. They will also give away eco-friendly bags, and a sweepstakes of free produce for a year.
The new Beavercreek store will replace the Aldi located at 4886 Airway Road, which will officially close on Dec. 10. The store is located near Hobby Lobby and Target.
