When complete, the restaurant will seat about 92, Hoffer said. The deli opened with five employees, and, “We’re hiring right now,” Hoffer said.
Zinks will serve specialty burgers and bratwursts, sandwiches, salads and sides, and will offer daily specials, Hoffer and Metzger said. Signature dishes will include a bacon-cheddar burger in which cheddar cheese will be both ground with the beef and used as a topping along with bacon, Hoffer said.
The restaurant offers beer and wine, and sells wines by the bottle for retail, and will host weekly wine tastings on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Zinks Meats & Fine Wines gets Amish chickens delivered daily, grinds its own chuck for the deli case ground beef and cuts and delivers beef for local restaurants, Hoffer said.
The restaurant will serve Sunday brunch and also offers delivery.
The Washington Twp. restaurant, deli and meat shop is not connected to the Zink Meat Market located in Franklin.
