Grand opening next week for new Centerville-area restaurant

Zinks Meats & Fine Wines has reopened its deli and butcher shop in its new location at 409 Miamisburg-Centerville Road and is poised to unveil its new restaurant, which will host a grand opening next week, the shop's owners said Wednesday.

Zinks Meats & Fine Wines previously operated the butcher, deli and wine shop at 41 Marco Lane just off Ohio 48 south of Centerville, but closed in July in order to move to the larger location and launch a restaurant. Owners David Hoffer and Melissa Metzger are putting the finishing touches on the restaurant portion of the business, assembling and staining wine racks and installing seating and menu boards.

When complete, the restaurant will seat about 92, Hoffer said. The deli opened with five employees, and, “We’re hiring right now,” Hoffer said.

Zinks will serve specialty burgers and bratwursts, sandwiches, salads and sides, and will offer daily specials, Hoffer and Metzger said. Signature dishes will include a bacon-cheddar burger in which cheddar cheese will be both ground with the beef and used as a topping along with bacon, Hoffer said.

The restaurant offers beer and wine, and sells wines by the bottle for retail, and will host weekly wine tastings on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Zinks Meats & Fine Wines gets Amish chickens delivered daily, grinds its own chuck for the deli case ground beef and cuts and delivers beef for local restaurants, Hoffer said.

The restaurant will serve Sunday brunch and also offers delivery.

The Washington Twp. restaurant, deli and meat shop is not connected to the Zink Meat Market located in Franklin.
