Grand opening this week for Godfather’s Pizza

A ribbon-cutting and other events are planned for three days starting this Thursday, Oct. 23 to mark the opening of the region’s newest Godfather’s Pizza location at 291 N. Springboro Pike (Ohio 741) in Miamisburg.

The pizza restaurant in the Mall Woods Shopping Center across from Home Depot seats about 60, and employs about 40. It is the third Godfather’s Pizza in the Dayton area by franchisees Chuck Winters and Rick Wheeler of W & W Pizza, Inc., which operates locations in Centerville and Huber Heights. A fourth store in Lima opened in 1981. Winters said when the Miamisburg location first opened its doors in May that plans call for additional Godfather’s locations in the Dayton area, but no leases have been signed.

A ribbon-cutting is planned for 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. Godfather’s Pizza officials will deliver pizza and art supplies at the Dayton Children’s Hospital at 2 p.m. Friday. And “The Godfather” advertising spokesman for the chain will be on site for photos and autographs at 1 p.m. Saturday.
