H.H. Gregg to hire 500 before holidays

H.H. Gregg, an Indianapolis-based appliance and electronics retailer with stores in southwest Ohio, announced Wednesday that it will hire 500 sales associates in preparation for the holiday season at its 228 stores.

Associates hired in advance of the holiday season will be offered permanent full-time and part-time sales positions, officials said.

The company is hiring for stores in the Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic and Great Lake regions. Applications will be accepted through the end of September.

Officials said applicants must have friendly, outgoing personalities and flexible schedules. Sales experience in appliances or electronics is a plus. New associates will receive two weeks of training focused on product knowledge and selling skills, as well as company policies and procedures.

H.H. Gregg has area stores in Beavercreek, Hamilton, Huber Heights, Miami Twp. and Piqua.
