Craft enthusiasts, take note: all remaining 185 Hancock Fabrics stores are closing.
The announcement was made March 31 via a press release. B. Riley Financial's Great American Group was the highest bidder at Hancock Fabrics' bankruptcy auction and made the decision to sell the remaining retail inventory.
Hancock Fabrics filed for Chapter 11 protection in February.
Going out of business sales began at all remaining Hancock Fabrics stores Friday, and it is expected to take several weeks for all merchandise to be sold.

According to the company’s Facebook page, Hancock Fabrics was founded in 1957 and describes itself as a “specialty retailer of fabric and related home sewing and decorating accessories.”
