“We are focused on donating more beds to kids,” said Larry Klaben, Morris Furniture Co., Inc. president and CEO. “The test rest gives participants a chance to see the newest in a sleep technology while helping Secret Smiles provide more beds to kids sleeping on the floor, on a sofa or with another family member.”

Through the partnership, Secret Smiles has been able to provide more than 7,500 beds to families in need, said Tracy Janess, president of Secret Smiles of Dayton.
Most recently the business donated 150 beds and 50 cribs to families devastated by the Memorial Day tornadoes, Janess said.
“Morris Furniture’s outstanding community efforts, from the corporate staff to the delivery truck drivers, reinforce the difference we are making in our world by starting with a basic tenet - that every child can have a bed and then hope to grow up to make a difference themselves,” she said.

Morris Furniture Co. first started in Dayton in 1947 and now has showrooms across Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
In all of its markets the company makes a donation for every mattress purchased in the Better Sleep Shops year round, said Rob Klaben, Morris Furniture Co. vice president of marketing and advertising.
Donations in Cincinnati go to St. Vincent de Paul and Central Ohio’s donations go to the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio.
“A big part of our company success has been our active involvement in the communities we serve,” said Manny Sciberras, Morris Furniture Co., Inc. vice president of sales and merchandising. “Over the years, Morris has been a strong supporter of numerous community organizations that benefit children, families, education, health, and the arts.”
