The famous Taj Ma Garaj collection of rare cars and other memorabilia sold for $5.7 million at an auction this weekend.

The Porsche cars and other collectibles that were up for auction were once owned by John Dixon, who died in 2013. Dixon kept his collection in the Taj Ma Garaj, his building at 300 S. Perry St. which was also used as an event space.

RM Sotheby’s, which led the Sept. 28 auction, said an “extremely rare” four-cam 1957 Porsche 356 A Carrera GT Speedster led the sale at $1.38 million.
