Upper Valley Medical Center has named a new president of the Troy hospital’s board of directors.

Steve Staley, with Koverman Staley Dickerson Insurance Agency, was named the new board chairman, succeeding Craig Bundschuh.

Upper Valley is a top employer in Miami County and is part of Dayton-based Premier Health.

Staley, a Piqua resident, joined the Upper Valley Medical Center - Premier Health board of directors in 2012 after serving on the board’s adjunct community finance committee for more than a decade, according to a statement from the hospital. He has also served on boards of the Miami County YMCA, Piqua Area United Way, Piqua Community Foundation and Piqua Public Library.

“As a lifelong Miami County resident and longtime board member, he knows our hospital and our community,” said Tom Parker, Upper Valley president. He is a valuable asset to UVMC and Premier Health.”
