Kettering Health Network plans to build a three-story, nearly 100,000 square-foot hospital on land it purchased in Troy at 600 W. Main Street, the health system announced today.

In addition to inpatient beds, services will include an emergency department, lab and imaging, surgery center and a medical office building for physician practices. It is expected to create 120 new jobs, including physicians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, imaging and lab technicians and support staff, Kettering Health said.

“This new facility marks our entrance into the Troy and Miami County communities,” said Fred Manchur, Kettering Health Network CEO, in a statement. “We look forward to serving these communities and connecting people to better and faster access to quality health care.”

The facility is expected to cost around $60 million and is scheduled to be completed in late 2018. Kettering Health held a groundbreaking today for the new hospital.
