Kettering Health Network has purchased a vacant lot in the 1700 block of E. Stroop Road, just west of Wilmington Pike in Kettering, where it plans to build medical offices, the Dayton-based health system announced Thursday.

The announcement comes just a day after the health system announced plans to open physician practices and offer outpatient services in a 62,000-square-foot building it recently purchased in the Shops of Oakwood, near Dorothy Lane Market. The health system also announced earlier this week that it plans to build a medical office building on the site of a former car wash in West Carrollton.

“We are so pleased to have the opportunity to work with the City of Kettering to expand services for our community,” says Kettering CEO Fred Manchur. “As we continually look at how we can best serve the residents in southwest Ohio, we saw a need right here in Kettering. Since 1964 we have been providing quality, compassionate care to the greater Kettering area at our flagship hospital, Kettering Medical Center. In order to provide patients with better access to our services, we are pursuing a strategy of locating services closer to where they live.”

Kettering Health is a not-for-profit network of eight hospitals, 10 emergency departments, and 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
