His new role will involve creating a “data-driven criminal intelligence center” here in the Dayton region, Langos said in a message.
“My role will be to get the center established and operational and then continue to lead it,” Langos said.
Data-driven law enforcement and policing are relatively new “but have proven to be of real benefit,” he added.
He said his role at Teradata has been assumed by Robert Fair, who in December was named the company's chief operating officer.
At that time, Fair was named COO and Michael Koehler was named president, in addition to his current role as chief executive officer of Teradata, the company said in an SEC filing.
A statement from a Teradata spokesman Monday afternoon said Diana Bolden, Teradata’s chief information officer and a 34-year employee, has assumed an expanded role to include operations responsibilities. Her title was given as “senior vice president, information technology and operations,” effective today, Teradata said.
Bolden serves on the local board and executive committee for Technology First, a local trade association, the company said. She is also active with Women For Technology and is a member of the Wright State University Computer Science/Computer Engineering Advisory Board.
Langos said he is going to work for an agency, which he did not immediately name.
