Kitchens By Design announces expansion

Kitchens By Design, a Kettering-based kitchen and bath remodeling company, will expand its showroom and warehouse space, company officials said.

The project will add 1,000 square feet of additional showroom and office space to the company’s facility at 3105 Wilmington Pike. The company also will consolidate an offsite 1,600-square-foot warehouse to a new one on site that is 400-square-feet larger and connected to the business, officials said.

Kitchens By Design, privately owned by Miles and Cathy Johnson of Washington Twp., has operated at the Wilmington Pike locations since 2002. Previously, the company operated out a showroom in Riverside for seven years.

Kitchens By Design has seen growth in its customer base, Cathy Johnson said in a statement.

The expansion project currently is underway and should be completed by early 2014, officials said. The business will remain open during construction.
