Bricker & Eckler opened a new Dayton office in the Water Street District in 2016. The 140-attorney firm has four other locations in Ohio, including West Chester, Columbus, Cleveland and Marietta.
About the new partners:
• Amy S. Bartemes’ practice focuses on commercial real estate law with an emphasis on representation of real estate developers, institutional mortgage lenders and telecommunications providers. Amy also works with school districts and other public entities in connection with a broad range of real estate transactions. She has a background representing clients before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio on a variety of issues, including applicants before the Ohio Power Siting Board. Additionally, Amy has considerable experience in civil and commercial litigation, including contract disputes and insurance defense.
• Diana S. Brown practices education law and employment law, advising and representing clients in personnel matters, negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, grievance and arbitration procedures, unfair labor practice proceedings before the State Employment Relations Board, as well as FMLA and ADA issues. She also defends discrimination claims before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Diana practices labor and employment law in both the public and private sector, and for more than 10 years, she has represented school districts throughout Ohio.
• Victoria Flinn McCurdy has a national litigation practice and represents clients in health care industry litigation, insurance industry litigation, and other complex commercial litigation matters. Her practice also includes medical negligence defense and fiduciary litigation. In addition to trial work, Victoria maintains an active appellate practice in both state and federal courts and has successfully argued before a number of Ohio courts of appeals.
• Gregory J. Krabacher’s law practice involves a wide range of intellectual property and information technology matters. His experience includes litigating patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes; prosecuting patent, trademark and copyright applications; drafting and negotiating intellectual property and information technology license agreements and assignments; and advising clients on their rights and obligations in connection with electronic discovery. Greg also counsels clients on a range of cybersecurity legal issues related to breach prevention, legal and regulatory compliance, and litigation.
