Dayton Progress, also called Dayton Lamina Corp., has a plant at 500 Progress Road, and the company has been in expansion mode in recent months.

Late last year, Montgomery County Commission approved a $150,000 development grant for Misumi USA to build a 50,000-square-foot distribution center in West Carrollton tied to Dayton Progress’s local plant. That project was expected to create 20 new jobs.

A message seeking comment was sent to James Whitaker, Dayton Progress plant manager, on Monday.
