The announcement marks a reversal for the company from August, when executives said they planned to keep all 37 stores open.
Dayton is the only Ohio store slated for closure. The company also has stores in Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland.
The retailer said it also has targeted stores in Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
The company, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August, said in in a statement it will continue to operate 29 stores.
