Fanning said he and new manager Jeff Groves will travel to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in Orlando next month to spend up to $60,000 on new games and kid rides. That kind of money can buy up to three large, “best-of-the-best” games or two large games along with a few smaller ones, Fanning said.

He wants to get a kiddie ride like a fire engine, he said, but he’s going to wait to get to Orlando to see what he’s going to do with the money.
“King’s Island and all of the parks and attractions all over the world are there and doing what we’re doing —buying games and getting updated on all the things as far as that industry is concerned,” Fanning said.
The games will be ordered at the show and available in the Magic Castle shortly after.

Fanning has already had the parking lot repaired and repaved and will begin interior remodels soon.
Construction also is set to begin soon on the $65 million Grand of Sugarcreek senior living facility on the former golf course near Magic Castle. It is expected to open in summer 2021.
