A Mason company has alerted the state that it is readying to lay off about 150 workers.

Security National Automotive Acceptance Company, LLC, principally located at 6951 Cintas Blvd., plans to suspend all operations of SNAAC and separate 150 employees “due to an unforeseen and unprecedented downturn in business,” the company said in a letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

This closure is expected to be permanent.

The separations were set to begin Wednesday or within 14 days, the company said in the letter dated Wednesday. They are expected to continue throughout the remainder of the year, concluding with a complete closure by the end of the year.

The affected employees are not represented by a union, the business said.
