New Beavercreek sub shop to open next week

BEAVERCREEK — The new Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant at 3510 Pentagon Blvd. has set an opening date of next Wednesday.

This will be the second Dayton-area location for Jersey Mike’s and the third overall overseen by franchise owner Ted Tolliver of Mason. Tolliver owns the Jersey Mike’s franchise at 6002 Far Hills Ave. in Centerville and a Cincinnati-area location.

The Beavercreek location will seat about 50 and employs 13. Tolliver said the Pentagon Place development’s proximity to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Wright State University, the Raj Soin medical center and the Mall at Fairfield Commons attracted him to the site.

The Jersey Mike’s Beavercreek opening is part of an intensifying sub-shop market in the Dayton area. Tolliver has said that he is shooting to open three to five more Jersey Mike’s restaurants over the next three to five years in the Miami Valley. Tolliver said this morning he hasn’t pinpointed the next location yest. The local Jersey Mike’s activity is part of a broader expansion for the New Jersey-based sub chain, which expects to open 200 more locations nationwide in 2013.

The new Beavercreek Jersey Mike’s will hold a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from its opening day on April 10 to Sunday, April 14 to support Fisher House and United Rehabilitation Services. The restaurant will circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Fisher House, which supports members of the U.S. military, and United Rehabilitation Services, which serves children and adults with disabilities.

Store hours for the new Beavercreek store will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. For more information, call (937) 426-6540.
