“We conducted a nationwide search for our new CEO,” Michael Martin, president of the DABR, said in a release. “There were many excellent candidates and the selection process was not easy. However, with Andrew’s impressive work at the local and national association levels, we’re positive that he will bring an exciting, fresh approach to managing our organization.”
“It’s exciting to see all the opportunities that Dayton as a community has ready to roll out,” Sims said. “My focus will be on creating positive economic relationships with city and regional leaders to make Dayton a more powerful city in Ohio, and ensuring that our Realtors are at the center of those important conversations.”
Sims said his first goal is to make sure elected leaders and economic development programs know that real estate transactions are vital to the success of the city. Homeowners should be top of mind in regards to local and state issues, and Realtors can provide valuable insight, he said.
“The greatest service we provide to our members and their clients is advocacy and giving a voice to homeowners,” Sims said.
Nationally, Sims has served as the chair of the National Association of Realtors Communications Director Committee. He currently serves as a member of the National Association of Realtors Young Professionals Advisory Board.
