Plans for a new Holiday Inn Express are moving forward after the project was approved by the Beavercreek city council.

The mid-priced hotel will be built on vacant land on the west side of Esquire Drive, north of the intersection with Lakeview Drive.

City council approved the plans for the four story hotel on March 25.

The Dayton Daily News first reported on plans for the hotel when the land was rezoned for the project in April 2018.

The hotel owner, Miami Valley Hospitality LLC, was also just approved for a building permit by Greene County.

The permit says the 2417 Esquire Drive project is valued at $9.3 million, though the total cost of a project is typically more than the value on the construction permit.
