He replaces Jarrod McNaughton, who has stepped down for personal reasons, according to a statement from the health network.

Burns takes the helm at one of Kettering’s largest employers. Kettering Medical Center is the flagship hospital under the umbrella of the $1.6 billion Kettering Health Network.
Burns has held executive roles in the network since 2001, most recently as the chief financial officer of Kettering Medical Center and executive vice president of Kettering Health Network since November, 2015.

Kettering Health Network is a network of eight hospitals, 10 emergency departments and 120 outpatient facilities.
