“As the charity grows, we plan on increasing the amount of procedures we are providing,” she said.

Area doctors and local facilities would be used to treat veterans, according to the nonprofit.
The nonprofit, which recently started an outreach effort, has not yet received applications from veterans, she said. After submission, an application determination would be made within four to six weeks, the nonprofit’s website says.
“When I decided I wanted to help a certain demographic within the world it came to me that these were the people that have done so much for us that I could try to give back a little bit to them,” she said.

Veterans must provide a DD 214 discharge form, a photo identification and documentation from the VA showing they are eligible for VA health care treatment, according to the Soldiers Surgeon website.
