Nordstrom Rack to open at The Greene

Fashion retailer Nordstrom will open a discount store at The Greene Town Center in Beavercreek, company officials announced Thursday.

Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Seattle-based Nordstrom, will open a 35,000-square-foot store at The Greene in fall 2014, officials said.

Nordstrom Rack offers customers a selection of on-trend apparel, accessories and shoes at savings of 30 to 70 percent off regular prices. The store carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom.com and specially purchased items from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom.

Nordstrom Rack currently has four locations in Ohio, including two that opened in fall 2013 in Columbus and Westlake. A second Rack store in Columbus is scheduled to open this spring, officials said.

“We believe The Greene represents the best of shopping and entertainment in the area and we are thrilled to be a part of this compelling retail environment,” said Geevy Thomas, Nordstrom Rack’s president, in a statement. “This additional location will make it more convenient for customers who have been making the drive to shop our stores in Cincinnati and Columbus.”

The Greene is owned and managed by Olshan Properties, formerly known as MPI, Mall Properties Inc.
