RELATED: CityWide: We're staying in PNC building
The president of CityWide Development said this week his employees are remaining in the building, at least for now.
CityWide, which acts as the private development arm for Dayton city government, owns its section of the building in what Brian Heitkamp, CityWide president, described as a “condo relationship.”

And CityWide maintains a lease with its tenant on the first floor, Business Furniture.
In 2014, PNC Bank announced its move from 6 N. Main to the new Water Street District downtown, where it serves as an anchor today.
Olymbec is probably best known in Dayton for having bought the 11-story 111 W. First St. office tower in 2016 with plans to renovate the building.
Those plans paid off when Taylor Communications — the company that used to be Standard Register — agreed to lease eight floors of the building to move 500 or more employees to downtown.

Earlier this year, Michael Matthews, a vice president of leasing for Olymbec, told this news outlet that his company remained bullish on downtown Dayton and was looking to buy more properties.
“Yes. We are always looking,” Matthews said in an email this week when asked if he was looking to purchase other downtown Dayton properties.
