Opening day today for Austin Landing restaurant

The region’s first Another Broken Egg Cafe opened this morning, Monday Nov. 10, at 3450 Rigby Road in the Austin Landing development.

The 3,457-square-foot breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch restaurant seats 120 inside and employs 25 to 35.

Franchisee and area developer Mike Craddick of Centerville has said his development agreement with Destin, Florida-based Another Broken Egg calls for him to open three more restaurants in the Dayton-Cincinnati area over the next three years.

The Austin Landing Another Broken Egg Cafe is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

Another Broken Egg was founded in 1996 in Old Mandeville, La., and operates about 36 restaurants in a dozen states. The food menu has a New Orleans flavor with southern-themed dishes. Unlike nearly every other breakfast-brunch chain, Another Broken Egg cafes have a full liquor license, allowing them to serve a bloody mary or mimosa or liqueur-and-coffee drinks to diners.
