Kettering Health Network’s Indu and Raj Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek will host a five-year anniversary celebration at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the hospital lobby at 3535 Pentagon Boulevard, next to The Mall at Fairfield Commons.

The 30-minute ceremony, which is private but open to the media, will recognize people who were instrumental in Soin’s beginning and opening, including representatives from the network, the initial Soin leadership team, the first chief of staff, one of the hospital’s first staff members, and the first volunteer, according to a press release.

Network and hospital leaders also will recognize Indu and Raj Soin for their vision and commitment to help make Soin Medical Center a reality.

The 127-bed, full-service, acute care hospital opened to patients on Feb. 22, 2012 with 42 inpatient beds. Since then, the hospital has experienced tremendous growth, expanding the emergency department and opening the fourth and fifth floors of the hospital ahead of projections.
