Work will be performed in Springfield and Ooltewah, Tenn., with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2021, the department said.
Bids were solicited via the internet with five received, the DoD said.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, based in Detroit, was the contracting activity, the department said.
Also this week, L3 Technologies, which has a significant presence in Mason, won a modification to a previously awarded U.S. Navy contract for the production of ammunition.
Mustang Technology Group LP, doing business as L3 Mustang Technology, was awarded a $14,849,324 modification to a previously awarded contract for 808 rounds of 57mm MK 332 high explosive-4 bolt guided cartridge ammunition.
Twenty-two percent of the work will be performed in the Cincinnati area, with the balance being performed in Plano, Texas by March 2021, the department said.
