The “top 5 cheap car insurance companies” in Ohio are Progressive, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, GEICO and Nationwide, in that order, according to WalletHub.
The site also said in a report released Monday that 54 million Americans say they don’t understand their car insurance.
Three-quarters of drivers say they want the best car insurance, not the cheapest coverage, the report says.
Also: Fourteen percent of people say they would not buy car insurance if not legally required to do so. In fact, Millennials are twice as likely than Baby Boomers to feel that way, the site said.
Finally, just over 70 percent of people say it’s unfair for gender to be a factor in car insurance pricing, and 65 percent feel the same way about credit scores affecting car insurance costs.
