Avery Dennison is a printer and labeler company focusing on inventory and supply chain performance. This expansion will help the business expand in new RFID — radio frequency identification — and scanner technology.
“I thank Avery Dennison for their continued commitment to our community and for the jobs they will create,” State Rep. Niraj Antani, R-Miamisburg, said in a statement Monday. “I am excited to hear that the company is developing and investing in new scanner and RFID technology which will keep them competitive.

“This investment in our community has been made possible by the Job Creation Tax Credit and JobsOhio, both created and approved by the leadership of the governor and the Ohio legislature,” Antani added.
Ryan Yost, an Avery Dennison vice president, said in a company statement that the company’s Miamisburg location has seen revenue growth of 15 percent recently thanks to its new “intelligent labels” business.
“This growth is requiring additional support and development of new technology to support the manufacturing of these labels,” Yost said in the statement.
The Tax Credit Authority, which met Monday, was also considering proposed business expansions in Mason, Cincinnati, Toledo and elsewhere. This story will be updated.
