Tech firm acquires Dayton manufacturer

An Indiana technology company has acquired Westbrook Manufacturing Inc., a Dayton-based contract manufacturer, according to a media release.

Telamon Industrial Solutions, a division of Carmel, Ind.-based Telamon Corp., has acquired Westbrook as part of a strategic growth decision, company officials said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Officials said Telamon’s acquisition of of Westbrook will not affect current operations at any of either company’s facilities. However, Westbrook’s name will change to Telamon.

Founded in 1977, Westbrook is headquartered at 600 N. Irwin St. in Dayton. The company’s primary manufacturing facility is located in Fresnillo, Mexico.

Westbrook manufactures wire harnesses, electromechanical switches and custom products for the automotive industry. The company employs more than 400 workers in Dayton and Mexico, officials said.
