Batteries Plus Bulbs expanding to add 33 more locations this year

Batteries Plus Bulbs, which operates in the $32 billion U.S. battery industry and the $22 billion U.S. light bulb industry, will open 33 more franchise locations and 14 corporate-owned locations this year.

Franchise expansion is available across the U.S. Batteries Plus Bulbs has locations in Bellbrook, Miamisburg, Dayton, Springfield, West Chester, Hamilton and Cincinnati.

From 2016 to 2017, Batteries Plus Bulbs experienced a 3.7 percent increase in same-store sales and a 5.3 percent increase in system-wide sales. Over the last three years, system-wide sales have grown 22.6 percent.

It's also the top phone repair franchise in terms of number of retail locations nationwide, serving the $3.9 billion repair industry.

"U.S. households have approximately 3.2 billion devices requiring batteries and 7 billion light bulb sockets requiring light bulbs. At some point, these batteries and light bulbs will need to be replaced, and many of those devices repaired," said Russ Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer, Batteries Plus Bulbs.
