“Heren Foundation U.S.A. (founded by Fuyao Group) today made a contribution of $5,000 to the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund set up by the Dayton Foundation to extend a helping hand to the victims and their families,” the manufacturer of automotive safety glass said.

The Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund was created last week in response to the shooting that took the lives of nine people in Dayton's Oregon District neighborhood. The money is meant to help to help "those individuals most directly impacted by this tragedy," the foundation said.
To contribute via mail, checks may be mailed to The Dayton Foundation, 40 N. Main Street, Suite 500, Dayton 45423. Contributors are asked to designate on the check or in the fund name field “Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund” or “Fund #8365”.
Cox Media Group Ohio, including WHIO, Dayton Daily News and Dayton.com, has partnered with the Dayton Foundation in this fund-raising effort.

Fuyao Global founder Cho Tak Wong launched the Heren Foundation in 2010 with a donation of 300 million shares from his company.
The foundation was named named after Cho’s late father and is the largest charity foundation in China, with the donated shares having a market value of 3.55 billion yuan or $538 million, China Daily reported in 2011.
Fuyao Glass America employs about 2,300 people in Moraine, at the largest auto glass factory in the world.
