NCR said Corporate Controller Robert Fishman will be interim CFO after Massetti leaves. NCR said Massetti will continue in his current job until the day after NCR completes its third-quarter earnings announcement Oct. 22.
Avaya said Massetti will join the company as its senior vice president and CFO. Avaya is a provider of enterprise communications systems.
Massetti joins Chris Ricci, a former NCR vice president of IP licensing and litigation, at Avaya. Ricci, who left NCR in 2007, is an Avaya vice president of intellectual property law.
Massetti is the second top executive to leave NCR in three months. Peter Lieb left as NCR’s senior vice president, general counsel and secretary to take a position with Aon Corp. in mid-July.
In early June, NCR announced it was moving its headquarters and most of 1,300 Dayton jobs to the Atlanta area by the end of 2010. The company has been based in Dayton for 125 years.
Shares of NCR (NYSE:NCR) closed down Wednesday 13 cents, ending at $13.53.
