Ohio has some of the worst truck traffic bottlenecks in the United States.

The American Transportation Research Institute Wednesday released its annual list of what it calls “the most congested bottlenecks for trucks in America.”

Five of those bottlenecks are in Ohio — and one is right here in Dayton.

No. 50 on the list is Interstate 75 at U.S. 35 in Dayton.

“The 2017 Top Truck Bottleneck List assesses the level of truck-oriented congestion at 250 locations on the national highway system,” the institute said in a statement. “The analysis, based on truck GPS data from 600,000+ heavy duty trucks uses several customized software applications and analysis methods, along with terabytes of data from trucking operations to produce a congestion impact ranking for each location.”
