Verizon Wireless boosts data allowances

Verizon Wireless is increasing data allowances for some customers, without raising rates, company officials announced.

The company’s “Share Everything” wireless plans transitioned to “More Everything Plans,” effective Feb. 13, officials said. The new option boosts data allowances, adds unlimited global text messaging and gives customers an amount of free, cloud-based storage to back up their wireless devices.

Officials said some customers currently on Share Everything plans will see their data allowance automatically increased for the same monthly rate. For example, the 500 MB plan becomes 1 G; the 1 G plan becomes 2 G; and the 2 GB plan becomes 3 GB.

More Everything is available to all new customers, including small businesses. Current Share Everything customers will be automatically migrated. For more information, visit news.verizonwireless.com.
