Delivery from these stores usually comes with a $9.95 fee; sometimes it can be as low as $7.95 per order. But with a pilot subscription service that will be available at all delivery locations by the end of the year, shoppers can pay a set $98 per year or $12.95 per month for unlimited home delivery and pickup, according to a release for the retailer.
The Delivery Unlimited membership will be available in 1,600 stores in 200 metros later this fall. More than 45,000 personal shoppers choose the groceries that customers order online.
“Grocery Delivery takes convenience to a new level, and our customers love it. With Delivery Unlimited, we’re providing incredible value for our customers and leveraging our unique assets to save them both time and money,” said Janey Whiteside, chief customer officer of Walmart.
Customers can get a free 15-day trial to test the service.
