Not long after the Wine Gallery business in downtown Dayton has sold to new owners, the gallery’s West Monument Avenue property itself has been sold, local property records show.

5 West LLC sold the real estate at 5 W. Monument to Riverview Investments LLC for $385,000 on Thursday, according to Montgomery County property records.

Riverview Investments was incorporated April 19, according to Ohio Secretary of State filings. No local address is given for the company.

Brian Linnean, co-founder of The Wine Gallery and Cafe, told this news outlet in early March that he had reached an agreement to sell the business along with the building and property for an undisclosed amount. The transaction was scheduled to close before the end of April.

“It’s been a great 12 years down there,” Linnean said at the time.

He opened The Wine Gallery at the Cannery at East Third Street and Wayne Avenue in 2006, then moved the business to the Main Street and Monument location in 2010 after buying the building at 5 W. Monument Ave.
