Headquartered in Selkirk, N.Y, Security Supply distributes plumbing, heating and air conditioning products in the Hudson Valley and Adirondack regions of New York, western Massachusetts and eastern Vermont. The company will continue to do business as Security Plumbing & Heating Supply.
With the acquisition, WinWholesale now has more than 570 locations in 45 states. The company is a distributor of residential and commercial construction and industrial supplies and materials.
WinWholesale President Jack Johnston said the company’s growth strategy includes acquiring successful wholesaling companies that strengthen the firm’s presence in key markets and fit well within its targeted industries.
“Security Supply is a profitable company with a solid management team,” Johnston said in a statement.
On Monday, WinWholesale announced the opening of two new companies in Florida and Texas to serve plumbing contractors with products, supplies and services. Miami Winsupply will serve Miami-Dade and Broward counties in Florida, and Wise County Winsupply will serve Wise and surrounding counties in Texas northwest of Fort Worth.
WinWholesale is the majority shareholder of both Miami Winsupply and Wise County Winsupply. The company provides business consulting, investment capital, product sourcing and distribution, purchasing power, training, accounting, payroll, information technology and marketing support, officials said.
