Answer: My background is actually in the law. I’ve been a practicing attorney for over a decade. But, I have always been really passionate about fitness and movement. So about 6 years ago, I had a strong desire to open a group fitness studio where I could share my love of movement and community. As a result, Space Three was born in 2019.
Q: Who are a couple of people you think of as your professional board of directors (the folks you go to for advice and support)?
A: Wow — great question. There are so many individuals who have led me to this point. But in particular Carson Deck, my husband and sounding board; Lisa Gillies, my studio manager and right hand woman; and Reka Juhasz, the creative brain behind my brand and all my crazy ideas.
Q: What is advice you have for women growing their careers?
A: Keep going. Even when you are unsure or discouraged or disappointed, it’s worth the effort to pursue your passion.
Q: When you were a child, what career did you hope to have?
A: A doctor. I always wanted to help people and I love that I can do that through fitness.
Q: Are you involved in any cohorts, boards, nonprofits?
A: I previously have served with the Oakwood Schools Foundation.
