Windows, flooring, carpeting among recent updates

A redesign and remodel of the kitchen opened up the original floor plan of this two-story home in the Shenandoah subdivision of Concord Twp.

Listed for $289,900 by Galbreath Realtors, the brick-and-vinyl home located at 2605 Seneca Drive has about 2,610 square feet of living space and sits on a half-acre lot with no rear neighbors.

The tree-lined property includes a storage barn with porch, covered composite deck, a paver-brick patio and extra parking pad near the two-car garage, which has walk-up attic access from the mud room.

Recent updates to the home include vinyl replacement windows throughout, wood-laminate flooring throughout the main level and neutral carpeting installed in June.

Less than three years ago, the largest update was the redesign of the main-level floor plan by opening up the kitchen and formal dining room and shifting the half bath.

Formal entry opens into a two-story foyer with a wood staircase that has spindled accents and carpet runner. To the right, French doors open into a multipurpose room that could be an office or family room.

Wood flooring fills the foyer entry, hallway, dining room, kitchen and great room. Carpeting was replaced within the office.

To the left, the dining room has a tray ceiling and is open to the kitchen. Updated cabinetry includes a buffet counter with hanging cabinets above located near the dining setting. Additional cabinetry surrounds the refrigerator, and an island has a cooktop, seating and storage. A double sink is below a window. There are granite countertops, and stone bricks accent the wall space. Double wall ovens and a microwave shelf are also features. The dishwasher and refrigerator are included in the sale.

A bay bump-out creates a breakfast room setting and flows into the great room.

A brick wall surrounds the gas fireplace with raised hearth. Patio doors open to the rear deck, which has a cathedral roof, railings and ceiling fan. The deck leads to the paver-brick patio and the deep, tree-lined back yard.

A sliding door from the great room opens to the updated half bathroom, which features a bureau vanity with granite counter and sink.

Off the kitchen, on the other side, is a mud room, which has access to the garage and a rear exit door that leads to the patio. Another door opens to the laundry room and the door that opens to the hidden stairs to the attic above the garage.

Four bedrooms and two full bathrooms are located upstairs. The stairwell is surrounded by wood spindles, opening the upstairs hallway. The main bedroom has a walk-in closet with organizers. The main bath features a tub/shower and a single-sink vanity.
