The Town & Country site joins a Centerville location among the Ohio stores closed this year after a February bankruptcy filing by the Dallas-based business.
The company notified the Kettering site, which has about 12 employees, of its decision April 28 and the store began liquidating the next day, Shay said.
Items are up to 30% off, the company’s website states.
“Our store is only 10% off right now,” Shay said. But three areas — floral, picture frames and curtains — were 30% off as of Thursday, she added.
Tuesday Morning started in 1974 and operates in 25 states, specializing linens and bedding, furniture, and seasonal, garden, outdoor, dining and kitchen items. About three years ago, it had about 700 stores.
The Town & Country site’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Customers have until May 13 to use their gift cards, according to the company’s website.
The Kettering store opened in 1999, according to the Columbus-based Casto, co-owner of the shopping center.
It opened “in a smaller space … then expanded to take entire building, as the other tenants moved out,” Casto Senior Asset Manager and Broker Kelly Casto said in an email.
Casto said her firm has had no communication with the business regarding its decision.
The Centerville store closed earlier this year after the retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Feb. 14 and announced half of its locations were shutting down.
The Centerville Place site at 1079 S. Main St. was among seven Ohio locations that closed March 31. Others included stores in Canton, Columbus, Hilliard, Middleburg Heights and two locations in the Cincinnati area.
