The John P. Parker House is located in Ripley, Ohio on the banks of the Ohio River. Parker, a former slave who purchased his freedom, owned an iron foundry next to his home. He was also an abolitionist and conductor on the Underground Railroad who helped fugitive slaves escape to freedom. The museum is open from May through October. Group tours are available year-round.
