Detectives seized illegal drugs, weapons, cash and made three arrests Thursday in Dayton during searches that ended a long-term drug trafficking investigation.

The Montgomery County Regional Agency Narcotics and Gun Enforcement task force served search warrants at two residences in Dayton, one in the 900 block of North Euclid Avenue and the second at the Wyoming Hills apartments in the 2400 block of Wyoming Street, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Investigators seized “a substantial amount” of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, cash and seven firearms from the two residences, officials said.

Three people were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail facing preliminary drug and weapons charges.

“Illegal drugs and gun violence is a crisis that continues to plague our community,” Sheriff Rob Streck stated. “Public safety continues to be my top priority, which is why my office will continue to target individuals who are poisoning our neighborhoods, while curbing violent crime by taking guns out of the hands of criminals.”
