Three people were injured after a fight at a Halloween party escalated into a shooting in Huber Heights.

Crews initially responded around 11:50 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting in the 8400 block of Trowbridge Way, according the Huber Heights Police Division.

At a Halloween party, a fight ensued between the homeowner and two others at the event, Sgt. Josh Fosnight said. The owner brandished a Glock 43 pistol when one of the individuals refused to leave after being asked to, he added.

The gun went off during a struggle and one shot was fired, resulting in three injuries. One person had a graze wound on the head, another person was injured in the leg and the third person was injured in the arm, Fosnight said.

The trio went to a local hospital for treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening.

When a 911 operator asked a caller what happened, the caller said, “I am not really sure, I was walking around and heard a pop. One shot in the leg.”

One of the people reported injuries to the leg and pinkie finger.

Prosecutors are reviewing charges.
