A woman told police that at around 3 a.m. Jan. 29, 2022, while she was sleeping over with friends at a home in the 1100 block of Haviland Avenue in Dayton, that the suspect identified as Pina Alvarado entered the room where she was staying while she was asleep and touched her inappropriately, but that he left when she screamed, according to an affidavit filed in Dayton Municipal Court.
The woman said Pina Alvarado later returned to the room and assaulted her sexually but left again after she screamed, the affidavit stated.
After Pina Alvarado was arrested, he told police he did not remember anything because he was intoxicated, according to the document.
As part of his conviction, Pina Alvarado must register annually as a Tier I sex offender for the next 15 years, and was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
