A man who escaped from the Greene County Adult Detention Center Monday morning is back in custody.

Timothy Fox, 48, was being held on a preliminary receiving stolen property charge when he escaped from the Xenia facility around 9:45 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office. Shortly after 11:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office issued a statement that Fox was captured in Xenia Twp.

Fox initially was arrested around 12:25 a.m. Monday by Fairborn police on West Hebble Avenue, according to jail booking records.

He has warrants in Clark and Champaign counties and is known to be violent, according to the sheriff’s office.

A warrant was issued for Fox in connection to a domestic violence charge on Sept. 15, according to Clark County Municipal Court records. Champaign County Municipal Court showed a warrant for Fox in a theft case.

This is the second escaped inmate in Greene County in almost a month.

Adrial Isaiah Parks Sr. walked away Oct. 5 from his work detail washing vehicles in the Greene County Jail’s administrative parking garage.

He was found by Beavercreek police the next day and charged with escape.
