Donations pour in after vandals strike Korean church

Worshippers arriving at the Dayton Korean United Methodist Church the Sunday before Christmas were greeted by vandalism.

Windows and doors were smashed sometime overnight at the church at 2675 Galewood St., east of Woodman Drive in Kettering.

The damage was reported by a staff member who arrived to open the church, said officer Cynthia James, the Kettering Police Department’s public information officer.

Community members have rallied to support the church.

By Monday afternoon, an online fundraiser raised $2,600 toward repairs and security cameras.
